Croaktown P.D. — Known Associates File · Exhibit A

Trench-coat Toad

'The Fixer'

Lowlife on retainer

First name on the testimonial wall, and the last frog you want to notice you. If a shell pondcompany needs something found, forgotten, or made to have never happened, the Fixer is already on retainer — and already gone.

Standing
On retainer, paid in advance, never invoiced
Known for
'Finding' whatever the file needs found
Current whereabouts
Reportedly 'fishing in the islands'

The story the Fixer tells — and he only tells it once, in a low voice, near an exit — is that he picked PooPee's pocket first. Clean lift on a rainy night off Cattail Street, wallet gone before the mark blinked. By morning the wallet was back, empty, with a note inside offering him steadier work than pickpocketing and better hours than honesty.

He took the job. He has never fully explained why, except to say the note was very persuasive and the alternative was a long conversation he did not want to have. He has been the first name on the crew ever since — the toad you call when a thing needs to stop existing.

The Fixer's fingerprints are on the negative space of the whole rap sheet — the counts that never got filed because the paperwork 'walked.' He is why so many exhibits in the storm-drain matter arrived at the property room already missing.

He does not carry a wallet of his own. He says it is a professional courtesy to the other pickpockets. He says a lot of things like that.

He stole my wallet AND gave me business advice. Both were valuable. I'd hire him to rob me again.

Intel compiled from defendant testimonials and one (1) returned-but-empty wallet. Croaktown P.D. assumes no responsibility for associates who have since 'gone fishing in the islands.' A work of parody.
